For most of my life, I thought that it was my job to fix people's emotional states; that is, make them happy. I thought that everyone's (family and friend's) situations and circumstances were my personal responsibility to make "right." It wasn't until just a few short years ago that I began to understand that each and every one of us is "ONLY" responsible for ourselves and our lives.

The really good news is that where you are right now is the perfect place to start. All journeys begin with the first step, and I always recommend that it be a baby step. If you have been away from exercise for quite some time, or maybe you have never ever been one to do physical fitness of any kind ... that's okay ... it is never too late to begin. There have been a multitude of studies done working with 80- to 90-year-old men and women. Usually the study begins by having these people weight train with 2- to 3-pound dumbbells. By the end of 8 short weeks, most men are working with 10-15 pounds, and most women with 5-8 pounds. Our age has no bearing on whether or not we can regain good health and vitality. Muscle is trainable until we die. We all came here wanting to feel good, enjoy life to the fullest and be happy. Some of us have spent so much time in sickness or low energy we don't really know what it feels like to thrive physically. What is important to know is that you can start today to improve, regardless of any and all physical limitations you may be dealing with.

Our minds are capable of literally tens of thousands of thoughts every single day. If we choose to simply let our thoughts run rampant, we are going to get a tremendous mix of things in our reality. Good, as well as not so good. Our minds and the thoughts we think are no different than a huge radio transmitting tower ... more powerful and connected than any other frequency transmitting apparatus known to man. Our thoughts are creating a frequency that the Universe and Law of Attraction hear loud and clear. There is no bias or favoritism in the Universe. There is no "NO" in the Universe. Whatever we are thinking is being registered and immediately responded to ... good or bad.

First, let me clarify what I mean by contrast, so that we are all on the same page. It is usually viewed as something negative; however, that is only because it is usually something you don't want in your experience. That doesn't make it negative necessarily, but that is often how it is interpreted. Examples would be prosperity versus poverty, health versus sickness, hot versus cold, peace versus war, up versus down, happy versus depressed, openness versus closed, excited versus complacent - I think you get the gist. It is my deep heartfelt belief that there will always be contrast. It is natural and is exactly the stuff that gives us humans choice.
