There is nothing that we strive for, yearn for or do, that in the having of it, we believe that we will THEN be happy. There is one fatal flaw in this belief system, though. Until we get ?IT,? we are usually unhappy, which in fact, prevents the desired outcome from manifesting. Follow this logic, and I do think you will come to a similar conclusion.

We are ALL powerful Creators, born with complete and utter freewill, who have intended to come forth in order to frolic and play and have one delicious adventure after another. We knew this from our non-physical perspective so fully that we came in with great eagerness and intense knowing, and yet we immediately began to forget it all. Our parents had forgotten, their parents had long forgotten; therefore, the environment we arrived into was basically one of disallowing. Of course, there are those who had a different experience upon arrival, but they are fairly rare.

Grace is described, theologically speaking in the Webster?s dictionary, as the unmerited love and favor of God toward man. I truly believe that we are born not only as the children of God, but as God itself. I prefer the title Source Energy rather than God personally, but that is splitting hairs. We come forth with all the tools necessary to thrive on all levels; however, due to the nature of emerging into this time/space reality, our energy comes immediately split.

Most people think I?m a little crazy for doing a cleanse, but let me share with you some of the reasons why I think it is quite good for me. The number one reason I usually do 1-2 cleanses a year is to detoxify my body, due to all the free radicals that bombard the body every day coming from our environment, air pollutants, the electronics we are all increasingly exposed to, not to mention the innumerable chemicals, pesticides, antibiotics and preservatives that we get from our foods, even though we try our best to eat healthy foods. The body is truly a temple for our soul and is so worthy of good care. By doing a cleanse on a fairly regular basis, I feel I give it an opportunity to rid itself of a great portion of this unwanted garbage. Secondly, it gives the body a break from the task and effort involved in digesting, processing and distributing nutrients for just a short while, a well-deserved break, I might add. During this respite it has the chance to repair, rebuild and put its energy and attention on other less critical endeavors. You might be surprised just how energized you can feel by the second or third day without food, but it makes sense when you think about it, because so much energy and effort is required for the ingestion and elimination of food. When the body is freed of this task, it makes sense that you will have more, not less energy.

I?m going to be bold here, and yet I am confident that I know from where I speak. Fat has long been touted as the true bad guy in our diets, and the scientific research of late cannot find evidence to back this theory in the least. The truth that has reluctantly begun to surface is this: Before 1920, the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) was rare in America. Clogged arteries were a rarity. By the mid 1950s, CHD was the leading cause of US deaths. Interestingly enough, between 1910-1970, animal fat consumption dropped from 83% to 62%, with butter consumption decreasing from 18 lbs/year to 4lbs/year. During this same period of time, dietary vegetable oil in the form of margarine, shortening and refined oils increased by 400%. Simultaneously, the consumption of sugar and processed foods rose by 60%. Studies have proven that there is no correlation between saturated/animal fat and cholesterol, CHD or atherosclerosis.

I can only speak for myself, of course, but I tend to put an unrealistic demand upon myself when it comes to maintaining my alignment with Source Energy. A piece of information that I gleaned from one Abraham-Hicks 2008 CD was very helpful, and I?fd like to share it with you. It is my hope that it will assist you as well.

It defies Law to think that we can be, do, or have something that we consider to be impossible. The fact that we BELIEVE that it is impossible holds it just outside of our reach. The Universe knows absolutely no limits, however, and so it embraces our desires immediately. It not only holds the vision of it, it literally becomes it. Source Energy never questions our desires because it knows that we are the experts when it comes to knowing what WE truly want. Every time we face adversity, we send out our desires vibrationally for the opposite, for the solution, for the clear knowing of what was just born out of the adverse experience we had. Source grabs hold of that desire and says, ?gYes!?h It becomes it and begins enjoying it, which means that the greater part of who we are has expanded. That expansion is who we are as well, and if we, either consciously or unconsciously, resist moving in the direction of it, if we deny ourselves the dream of it, if we hold ourselves apart from imagining it as our eventual reality ?? well, we feel miserable, or worse, depressed and in the depths of despair.

There are more exercises designed specifically for the abdominal region of the body then for all other muscles groups combined. This may be due to the fact that this area is made up of 4 completely different muscles; whereas most other muscle groups consist of 1-3 sections, not even entirely different muscles. In any case, the abdominal area is large in size, spanning from the base of your sternum to the upper edge of your pubic bone, as well as coming in from the back of your ribs across and downward, and coming up from your pelvis, inwardly and up. The fibers lay on almost every conceivable angle, which is another reason that we Trainers come up with endless ways to exercise this area. Working muscles on different angles ensures thorough muscle development.

I am the pot calling the kettle black on this one. I was raised to ??clean my plate,?? and THEN if I wanted seconds, it was encouraged. My parents were depression-era kids, and they were only doing what they thought was best. That imprint that I have been fighting, however, is a tough one, and if you have similar issues, I have a couple of suggestions that have helped me tremendously.
